Download inflation data from the BFS?

This is the only outbound request this app's web server makes on its own — and only because you just asked for it. Nothing else on this screen reaches the internet. (Separate, opt-in command-line features you would start yourself — bank-data sync, or pointing the optional local AI feature at a remote host — are not covered by this promise.)

What leaves your machine
Two anonymous HTTPS GET requests to the same host — first for the file's metadata, then for the file itself. No query parameters, no identifiers, and none of your accounts, transactions or balances. Both request bodies are empty and both addresses are fixed.
What the other side can see
Your IP address, the time, and your User-Agent. Your internet provider and DNS resolver also see the hostname, though the response itself is encrypted.
What that lets someone infer
That a machine at your IP address fetched Swiss consumer-price data — which suggests, but does not prove, that you use a personal-finance tool. Nothing about your finances is derivable from it.
What it never does
Neither of these requests contacts a bank, uploads anything, or reaches any host other than the BFS. A redirect to any other host is refused outright — this isn't just a promise, it's enforced in code.
